Somehow, the reflector has come detatched inside the headlights in my BA.
Passenger side beam is pointing at the ground 5 meters in front of the car and adjusting the knobs does SFA. I can move the reflector all around inside the unit from behind like it's totally detached. Has anyone had the unit apart to know if it's fixable or wether i should just go and buy a new light. Everything seems to be falling apart at the moment - the power window switch just fell out of drivers door and the passenger door lock gave up last week!!

i remember someone on here had the lense of the BA headlights, pretty sure they heated them up in the oven just enough to melt the glue.
it might have been the "angle eye lights" thread try searching that, you might have some luck.

might have been me.. lol hehehe..
preheat the oven to 80 degress celcious... apon reaching 80 degrees.. pop the whole headlight unit in the ovenn for 5 minutes.. the glue will soften to a sticky state making the lense easy to pry off.. -still though.. take care and use your fingers to pry the lense off as much as possible.. as screw drivers tend to put to much pressure on a small area and cracks the plastic lense... |

how would the reflector come loose? have i broken some tabs or something or is it just pushed onto the end of the adjusters or something. is there any chance i could push it back on without taking apart the light?
