So had a crash this morning...front bar has pushed my 2 week old thermofans into the pulleys on the motor. Need it pulled back and re-aligned.
Any recommendations around melbourne/eastern suburbs or in VIC? I don't mind a cashie job, I just want it cheap as I"m a uni student and have next to no money, just need the car drivable so I can get to work etc! (I work till midnight and no buses at that time to get home) As you can sorta see, the front has just been pushed forward, need it pulled back. Thanks

you will probably have to replace the radiator support.
possibly pull it out somehow to get around for a while.. does the bonnet still close fully? |

Thanks had the same happen to me, some stupid ***** in a vz (gah!) stood on the brakes in front of me.. its pretty easy to reapir, but can be expensive if you go thru a shop.. all they do is chain the a** of the car down to the concrete floor. then pull the rad support in the opposite direction of the impact.. so if you hit square on, it will need to be pulled out square to the car but upwards a little.. due to how the front of the car bogs down when you hit the breaks.. took about 2 mins to pull my ed square and it was pushed in about 15mm, but you need some decent clamps and chains to do it with..

tie a rope to the front of your car , other end to a tree and give you car a push backwards away from the tree
. yes I know what people are thinking but it will get him outta trouble till he can fix it. I'd help ya since I have tons of spare time , but.. distance would be an issue

well i partially fixed it by putting a jack between the engine block and the radiator support and jacking it out lol but it wouldn't come all the way out. But the thermos still work and I can drive around now.
Might try the rope one later today heh

I use a tow cable myself, very little chance of it snapping.
Put tension on the cable by reversing the car, then use your weight to bounce on the cable. Load it up again and bounce again. This way you dont pull it out too far.
