Yes you will have to cut the lens/plastic cover off and then remove the yellow filter behind it then silicone the lens back on

yep, its a VERY long tedious process, you have to cut all the way around between the housing and the lense (with a dremel or a knife) then pry the things apart, hoping that you got a set that doesnt have much glue holding parts you cant get to together, Dont try this on your own tailights buy a set from the wreckers, then remove the amber filter lenses and silicone them back together.

Yer dude give Troyman a buzz. I wanted 2 do it myself but i realized it's 2 much of a f**k so i just bourt some Realy realy bright led's from ebay.
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2x-36-TOP-LED-Ca ... 2c5324bcb5 Works a treat in the std ones. As for the long nose pliers THEY DO WORK!!!. Mates ed futura stabed it witha screwdriver and pulled all the s**t out.

i had a thought after i spent about 10 hours on one tail light trying all different sorts of things, what if you got a short-ish piece of wire and stuck it into the end of a soldering iron?, would certainly be alot easyer and probably be a neater job aswell.
cheers, Tomo
