Im looking at buying some tail lights for my EF Falcon Gli, but dont know whether it will be a waste of money if it will effect the insurance, or be illegal. Due to there not being any red shade on the lights, is this the problem, and if so could it be rectified if they are modified again in any way?

they dont have reflectors on them thats the main roadworthy issue. see vx commodore sedans - they have reflectors on the bumper below the taillights to combat this.

Tail lights don't need to have any red on them. The indicators need to glow orange/amber, and the brake light, must be red. These must be visible from 200m away.
You must have a red reflector on the rear of your car, however. Either integrated into the tail light or somewhere on the rear of your car. As samftr said, check out the VX Commodores. Also check out the Lexus 4wds. Cheers

Cheers yeah thats what i was trying to post last night when the site s**t itself. theyre either in the brake light part of the tail light or somewhere else on the rearward facing part of the car. like the sigma wagons are just above the bumpers and theyre about a 1 inch sqare either side below the taillights. the ea has it as a square in the brake light part, the eb has it as a long thin strip across the centre? part of the tail light.

too right, well i wonder if you could get the old oxy and cut the back off the ef and stick some of those lights in the eb? would be certainly different
