I am running halogens in mine though.
As I had halogen projectors put in ... well ... that's how they were made anyway. I'll post up a few pics in a minute.

They are an open projector from an NC Fairlane.
They were made with new & reconditioned parts.

I noticed the ba picture with HID zenon projector and i have seen it around .
How is the light spread from them? What lumins are they? I have noticed on hid planet that they have porshe hid projectors balasts,globes,and balast for 600 odd. Well sooner or later someone on this forum was bound to see the BA on the roads. The beam pattern on this vehicle is a bit different than usual. We did several different shields with different cuts to crate different beam patterns. The beam pattern on this vehicle is probably far better than the ones emitted from OEM projectors. The cut of the shield allows for the driver to see pedestrians/signs on both sides of the road, it has a lower pattern on the driver's side which eliminates the glare and blinding of the oncoming traffic and a long and higher pattern on the passenger’s side. But at the same time it has a very sharp cutoff with the usual separation of colours at the edge of the cutoff line. Have a 35W ballast, 35W D2S Xenon bulb with 4300Kelvin and 3200Lumens. The New D4 that have been released recently have 4800K and 3800lm. The light emitted from these projectors looks like a blanket of light thrown in front of the vehicle. Above the cutoff there is no light but bellow the cutoff you have a sea of pure clean white light. So far I have only used the Hi beam 4 times. The 4th time was 3 nights ago on the HWY. My passenger wanted to see how the Hi beam looked like. I flicked to Hi beam and heard THE loudest WOW I have ever heard. The bulbs we use are what is used by OEM. They are manufactured by one of the main 3 companies : Philips, Osram or GM. In that order. Rest of the Far East Asian Manufacturers usually carry a lot of inherent problems. i.e. flickering, change of colour after less than 100 hours of usage, lose of Kelvin/intensity etc. etc.... Also, we have recently found out that if you use the standard white (4-5000K) bulb these guys manufacture in FEA, you can not get a clear colour separation from in your projectors. Probably due to the poor quality of the precious salts and gases used in their facilities. So, if you ask for my advise and you are after something that works perfectly all the time and can give you all those spectacular lighting effects you can create with a Projector Retro. BUY ONLY FOR THE BEST. As the Porsche projectors….. Just because they are used in Porsche does not mean they are the best for your needs. But, of course the name Porsche has an exotic ring to it (Well for some people who like a glorified VW). Porsche, Audi, Lamborghini and few other minor marks are all in the VW family. BMW is presently the make that is setting standards which others are trying to copy. The type and the quality of the projector you use plays a role in the outcome of the light emitted from the headlight. However, the total combination of the parts used and then the most important, the workmanship when retroing the projectors, has a much bigger and more important role in the end result = The beam pattern emitted. The most important thing in choosing the parts to use to retro is limited to what your headlights can accept. For example, It is no good to choose Valeo Bi-Xenon Projectors to used in say Ford Falcon EB. It won't fit in there. So, first of all you need to measure the space available to you in your vehicle. Inside the headlight housing and at the back of it, between it and the battery, air cleaner …. What diameter projector can fit inside the bezel, housing and how much of the projector (plus bulb and igniter) will fit inside and how much outside of the housing….. These are some of the factors that determines what make and type of Projector you should be looking for. So, don’t do what most other people do. Find a projector and try to fit it inside your headlight. As they say: Don’t put the cart before the horse…. Obviously the projector you end up with, will also determine the type of bulb and the bulb determines the igniter/ballast combination. So tell me, are you planning to retro projectors?

I have actually sourced a set of bi zenon projectors out of a beema from deutzland and they also come with angel eyes
My lights on my fairlane seem to have enough room to fit these and the angel eyes look close but with a little bit of thought i should be able to fit them in as well. I have seen new tech on audi's lights where they have electronic level adjusters and i think they turn into the corner as you turn like the old citroens but much newer.! But that is way out of my league Soon as i have them in i will post some piccies |

Are you referring to the REAL Thing? BMW original suff? With fibre optics and all?? They are very hard to come by.
