It's a chopped wagon. There is a EF or EL Xr 6/8 dual cab ute getting around Bendigo that I have seen, and also a wagon that has been turned into a panel van.

There are a few customs out there. Pretty cool too.

Cheers

Here are the pics of the EF Dual Cab Ute. It was for sale on Ebay and I kept the pics.

I quite like it, and would consider this mod for a future wagon.

Looks like they grafted a ute rear on the back of the AU by the looks of the tail light.

They might have worked the rear quarters & fit the ute bits to fit a proper ute tail light, to keep it looking factory.

Cheers

I have seen one a few years back, it was done right imo, they had got the wagaon, cut the rear section of or heavily cut it back, put the rear cab section on to the wagon cab, and instead of cutting shaping the rear, they cut the sides and rear semi boxed it to look ute like.

i think you either need to go max custom which is very hard to pull off, or you need to retain some of the standard looks/panels. i think that r5 looks good because it still looks factory. the black xr looks good for the same reason. the early e series looks a bit chopped up at some angles.
the amusing thing i noticed about that ford R5 ute was it had almost b-series interior.
