Just flicking through the latest Streetmachines, came across an advertisement for "The Secret Life Of Paint" created by Alsa Corporation.

http://www.alsacorp.com/index.htm

How awesome would a Typhoon look completely decked out in MirraChrome?

Also a note for Gold Coast members, I spotted a smash shop chucking out a whole dumpster of bumpers, spoilers etc. Located in Expo Court, Ashmore, down near the Honda dealer. I'm sure the might let anyone take bumpers they're chucking out, most were a bit screwed, but I did see an ef/el xr6ish lookalike front bumper just sitting at the top, had a crack, and gutter scraping, but that was it.

They might give em away, who knows.

Yes, but did you see that "soft-to-touch, hard-to-scratch" paint? I've signed up trying to get a sample! I reckon I won't because the site is more for distributors and paint shops, but no harm trying!

I love my polished alloy mags, and I love shiny chrome..but

As cool as it may look, I think a fully chrome painted car on the road would be bad - hard to see, all reflections and the sun glare it would give off - it would be a blinder.

Not really safe IMHO

Now that you mention 2 for 1 tinting, i think it may have been the shop on the right hand side (if you're looking at the front of the shop, from the road).

Also, got a ring from a distributor in Victoria around 9am this morning, looked at caller i.d, and wondered "who the hell is ringing from there?".
Turned out to be a distributor of Alsa Corp, and he's sending up all these leaflets and brouchures today! How insane, I only made an enquiry last night.
Might get a sample of that soft to touch paint as well, I'll let youse know how it goes.

i want that clear coat that the have for chrome. it would make keeping my rims clean a sinch! but what would be really cool is if they could put some of the glow in the dark stuff in to the clear coat for chrome. that would look awsome at night.

No not really, they normally make the paint in batches and put some a side and if you need some paint for a bingle you just ring up and give the batch number (been there done that) but the problem is trying to find someone to insure your car after it has been painted.

Well just got a package in the letterbox with heaps of freebies! 8-)
Score! Anyways, there was also a catalogue with prices in AUD, and the distributor for ALSA paint is 'Products That Work' 5-7 Keith Campbell Court, Scoresb, Vic.

e.g. All retroglow paint (white, neon green, hot pink and orange is $133.75 for 113 gms. Mirra chrome is $780.23 for 950ml or $2675.08 for 3.8L. But Ghost chrome is 1/2 the price 3.8L for $1669.03.

And exposures (heat reactive) is $2430 for 950ml.....

I reccomend asking for an info pack, because my uni room is decked out completely now with cars, and crazy paint posters.
