hi there just borght myself a new white ba and it has those stupit looking black lines down the side that protect your door, just wondering what the proper name for those are and where i can buy white ones or weather i can pull the black ones off and paint them... thanks in advance

There called door moulds. They are usually colour coded on XR models upwards.
I did think some XT's were coded though

Get them colour coded whilst on the car.
Easy enough to tape up the doors and get em painted in place man. Did it to my EF XR8, came up mint. |

ive go the same issue
ive so far got the paint,primer,prepsol,sandpaper fishing line to remove the strips i just gotta get the time to do em all up about 80 bucks and a few hours labour i think sikaflex will do for re attatching to the door at the same time im going to do the mirror scalps i believe theres 3 clips u depress and the scalps are released all the best bil |

mirrors are easy. push the mirror glass all the way to one side and you will see either 2 tabs or one tab depending which side your looking at. do the 2 tab side first, use a butter knife to edge the tab off its locking spigot, and then wedge the butter knife in there to stop it popping back into place. undo the second tab, and you should be able to take out the first butter knife with out the tabs locking back in. push the mirror to the other side and pop off the one remaining tab to remove the mirror skins.
