I think its photoshopped too but that is one nice lane. Usually I don't even like chromies, lol.

Wow. I want one.

Put a Bonnet Bulge and a Boss in it and the transformation would be complete.

Does anyone know if there have been many Turbo conversions done to Fairlanes?

I've heard of a supercharged 3v Fairlane getting around, apparently its a real sleeper.

I think it looks well with the chromies because it's a fairlane with bling already on it...and being deep dish made it look sexier.

So who is going to attempt this?

Hopefully that Punktured fella comes up and tells us where he got these from.

Haha i was looking on ford forums for the G220 with the xr kit and came up with that :)

I think a Boss bonnet would kill the look but it does need something like a cammed 3v in it to finish it off. It needs something loud and angry under the hood, not a turbo.

Phong, if i had the money (more like if i wasn't spending it on the ute :P) i would so buy one of these :D

I sure intend to phongus. Planning quite a bit of glassing for the boat, so once I get good at it, I will attempt to create new skirts all around. I expect this will take some time though. I won't lower it though, it's already low enough and some boat ramps are a challenge already!

I drive a wagon (as you can see) and I am getting the GT style skirt made up by a fibrglass dude who has the moulds. He then just add's 70-80 mm to the centre to make it the correct length. Maybe something similar for your Fairlane?!...

good point.. because it looks like all the photoshop has done to the is stretch the original bumper to make it look bigger and differant. and by adding that 70 to 80 mm you coul acheive a similar result. dont know how'd u go over speed bumps and pulling boats up a steep ramp. :D but i would love to have that kit on my ba

Here's some closer up shots of my Fairlane as it is now. All I really want to do is change the rear lower skirt so that twin exhausts can be seen, instead of the single hidden one that it has now.

Ooh, now that's a bold statement.

At the front I don't doubt you're right. But the rear might be another question.

There's no number-plate mould in a standard SWB rear skirt. The merge with the rear taillights is completely different. But you could be right, the lower skirt might be the same shape.

However, when I did my BF interior conversion, when it came to changing the looms, I noticed extra length in the loom both immediately in front and behind the rear wheelarch. If there's actually extra length behind the wheelarch, then the XR lower section won't fit.

Anyone thought to ask this question of Darren at FTG? They have a BF Fairlane in the yard and might be able to confirm if the XR lower skirt might fit both front and rear on a LWB.

But heck, if it does fit that would be the answer he's seeking.
