would it be possible to sand the lenses of the glass? Just read a docco on fixing EF/EL headlights that have yellowed.

That's what I love about this place. Not the flaming. But the ingenuity of peeps like yourself.
I'm very surprised and impressed by how good EA looks now. |

The glass is actually cut on the inside, I doubt a succesful grinding of the glass would be possible or worth the effort.
Yeah the EA is getting there, will be finished one day.

Yeah the EA is getting there, will be finished one day. Still looks alright though imo. I can't wait to see pics of it when they're both done. Do they work alright? |

{USERNAME} wrote: whats next, well after I finish the driver headlight, I think the tail lights could do with a face lift of some kind Best taillight mod you can do to an EA IMO is to replace it all be EB/ED gear, maybe even the high series version with the reflector running across the whole boot line. The rear end on the EA hasn't aged well at all and the tacky taillights and boot garnish are mostly to blame. {USERNAME} wrote: I used to think that ea-ed's were the crapiest looking falcons ever
With the exception of the EA, mainly for the reason outlined above, the early E series don't look too bad. Again, with the exception of the EA they haven't aged to badly either. Compared to say, the late X series (XD-XF) and the early Commodore series, they don't look their age at all.

good work Well after I get them finished off, I might have to pay you guys a visit so you can also see my BA Shifter install, unless you had a look at the recent AFD, and maybe discuss a BA Cluster

That looks awesome man, well done!
I'm playing around with ideas for my EF head lights at the moment but the BA ones were ruled out because of their size.

damn cool! you have come up with 2 awsome mods, this and the ba shifter thing. doco's would be really good if you can be stuffed, i'm sure many people would like to do this. Those lights would give my eb ghia just a little more class i think.
keep up the mad mods!! |
