HIi Guys, I am torn between adding a BA hump or a XB GT bonnet to me EF, I think both look good.
Can you buy them either a BA Hump or a XB GT bonnet insert separately or would I need to buy the bonnet and cut it out my self? Also, if anyone knows where I can get these if possible and a rough cost. Cheers EMP302 |

Hey jabinett
Thanks for that, do you know of any steel bonnet humps? also, how would you fit a fibreglass hump? Would you cut the bonnet glue the hump from the underside? Cheers |

No, the BA Humps just sit on top and you glue/fibreglass/mould it onto the bonnet.......
The XB bonnet mod Requires you To cut the Bonnets Support struts Which is Illeagal |

The XB bonnet mod Requires you To cut the Bonnets Support struts Which is Illeagal XB bonnet mod DOES NOT require the bonnet support struts to be cut. Careful cutting and planning and you will be OK. You need to do the job properly. The only way to get the XB scpoops is to buy an XB or XC GT/GS bonnet and start cutting. |

get the BA bulge. IMO if you are doing scoops like the XB, you should use VZ monaro scoops because they will match the newer lines of the EF better.

Go the BA hump.
'Cos if you hack up an original fluted XB/XC bonnet, I'll kill you. I'd pay almost anything for an original GT/GS bonnet in decent condition. the ones you see for sale these days are all either grafted into something else, or mutilated to fit a shaker/bug catcher. people don't understand how much these things are worth! |

ba hump on ebay $50
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/xr8-bonnet-hump- ... dZViewItem xbgt bonnets r on ebay from time to time with rust around the edges but the scoops always seem to be fine, they sell between $150 and $250. fibreglass ba buldges will more than likely begin to crack after a year or 2,but the steel xb bonnets which r welded and if done right should last a very long time. heres a pic of an ea with a ba buldge, this fm member bought a ba bonnet from the wreckers as he didn't want the fibreglass probs.

ohhhhh, like that EA with the BA Hump.. i think ill have to look into that on my wagon... if i can find an XR front.. i dont really want to have to use the 'twinlight' brand ones if i can avoid it...
However, that bulge is something to add to list for the future...
