G'day all,
Just wondering if BA Fairmont front fog lights/cornering lamps will be a straight fit into a BA XT front bar?

also, im looking at lowering my car, but not sure how low to go and what springs to get? is there some kind of guide that tells me how much the different springs lower it?

Yes they will, just have to change the lower bar insert as well or if you are using yours will have to modify it. As to the Lowering springs, Super Lows King Springs? And shocks as well. Ebay is a good place to look.

You can modify your Black insert yes but as to the Fog lamps? Those cornering lamps are a special fit, I don't know if any other make of lamp would fit well.

Its not really a straight fit if he has to mod it now is it mate? the lights can be mounted in the bar but remember the XT just wont have the wiring magically there to plug them in. you will need to run power to them and put a switch for them in your dash.

Cheers

Well no genuine ones are not gonna be like $30 for a set or anything, but you will need to ring around some wreckers to get a price. as for wire, switch etc. That does not cost much.

You could add them to the high beam, but you would get defected. You will need to wire them to a separate switch mounted in your dash.

Sorry I just looked at this post again, I might have made you think you can get them for under $30.

I ment you would be very lucky to get a set for $30. E Series cornering lamps still go for $100 plus on ebay to give you an idea.

the cops in my time let you do a fair bit and they let it slide, unless your a prick to them, then they'll defect you, so i could probably do it without too much hassle, can they only be hooked to highbeam? or can they be wired into the normal low beam too?

Mate you could have them wired to your parkers if you want but if you did you would be breaking the law anyway.

I would wire them up to e separate switch and turn them on separately, its the best wat to do it mate.

You can buy a switch and wire them as driving/fog lights but they can only be used in fog/low vis conditions.. Using them as 'cool lights' will cost you $165 and 3 points.. Well in vic anyway...
