Hello all just a quick question, Are BA rims illegal to fit on an EB Series II for street use? I was speaking to a mate and he said to fit them you need some spacers or somthing along those lines..

Thanks In Advance.

You need either spacers or hub adapters. Spacers are like a big washer with holes for each stud to go through, while adapters bolt to the hub. Some say adapters are legal, some disagree. Generally its better to get copies if you can. But everyone agrees spacers are illegal!

The copies look the same, but theyre not made by ford. Instead theyre made by the tyre companies and come with the correct offset to suit the older fords.

^ BA XR8 'options' in e-series offset. mine are 17's - the originals are 18's, although you can now get copies in 18's :)

Inquire at places like bob janes and ian diffens. Any tyre shop worth their money should be able to point you in the right direction!

i got ba xr replicas....

you can tell the offset by looking at it, on the back of them the BA ones the metal bit that bolts onto the hub is very small, the copies have a decent size chunk where it goes onto the hub
