hi guys,

picked up a cheap ba xr bar yesterday ($100) for the ef. was gunna go for a gt bar (aka fordfreak ef) as it looks killa, but opportunity knocked and i decided to go for it.
started off propping it up to get a rough idea of how its gonna sit:

then got the trusty angle grinder out and lopped off the upper part:

anyone got timr to photo shop it painted with spotties in as i suck at photoshop. im thinking about modding it somehow, so ideas are welcomed.

cheers

Remember when you cut your orginal GLi bar to leave the number plate mount in place as behind that are you mounts for your bar to you re-bar. If your not sure what you mean check my thread on the construction of the EF Fairmont/TS50 bar. Alosd check with EFFalco and Rusty they will give you the run down.

shouldnt be too long. might be a fair bit of mucking around tho.

more pics as it progresses. trouble is ive got a few other things on the go too- megasquirt, remote start car alarm, more stereo/ tv stuff going in etc. theres only so many hours in the day..... :?

yeah maybe. i picked up another set of lights, and am gonna mod them with projector beams and angel eyes, so should look more than just 'slapping a new bar on'. then with the ba bulge should look better integrated with the complete look.

i dont nessecarily agree. i think the key is making it not look 'slapped on'.

as for the grill- imo hyenas car (for example) being an ef with a grill looks crap. nothing personal hyena but i personaly dont like it.

It'll look good, There is a Goldish coloured EF i think in Shep that has a BA XR Front bar, its a GLi/Futura so no grill.

Good luck, it'll look tops when its done.
