with the front bars, there are some that are 1 peice, and others that are 2 peice (the lower can be unclipped and changed)

now i know there is a 2 peice rear bar, not sure if there are any 1 peice.

the one on my car is a 2 peice, the top section is from a BA Ghia (reverse sensor holes are filled) and the lower section from the XR just clips on.

ah k, must be 1 and 2 peice available on the rear too then.
don't know how you'd go joining them if you just cut it, possible i guess but might be easier to find proper 2 peice parts.

no idea where to get one cheap and i'm not sure what they're worth.
i got mine for free from a recyclers, but i think that was luck.

there is definately 2 peices for the BA rear bar, i wanted an exhaust and a couple of shops said i need to get the XR rear bar cuz they'd refuse to cut the XT rear lower bar, and yes the xr/xt rear lower bar clips on/off and fits on eachother, Fern Tree gully Auto service here quoted me $150 for the lower XR rear bar in white, although i never got it bcuz i changed my mind about getting an exhaust. just ot conform that for ya guys, i also rang ford and they too sell the rear lower bar, but i am unsure of what price,
cheers,
dave.
