No way mate. I love my wheels. 16 x 8 is plenty big enough for a boxcar. The ROH Snypers have a bit of dish, and they are not at all common. They give a nice balanced look and fills out the guards. There is plenty of grip and tyres are cheap.

What more can a man want for a daily driver? And I got them for $50.

FTRs are 16x7. And the point is here, to be little different while being on a really tight (non existent) budget. I could have done the mirrors a year ago, but I couldn't justify spending over $120 on the parts needed.

By biding my time the whole mod including the window rubbers set me back $45.

The handles I picked up for free, so just had to get paint.

Paulc - Thanks mate, yes they suck.

As I said there are a few bits and pieces that need tidying up.

One of the glaring parts was the side trim that runs along the edge of the windscreen. If you have a good look at them they are metal covered with a plastic wrap. Over time the plastic goes brittle and ends up doing this.

Not pretty really.

So was talking to some of the fellas last night at Liverpool and we were comparing cars etc. There was an EF there and I noticed that the windscreen trim pieces were the same. I was going to strip and paint some I had here but that it a lot of work. So this morining I went to Pick and Payless and for $20 picked up a pair from an EL. 10 mins work later and this is what you get.

Once you notice how bad they are you can't help but see it all the time, so my apologies in advance if you hadn't noticed yours before

FaBz,

We are all entitled to our opinions and I respect the rights of all to voice what their opinions are.

However, if we all built our cars to please everyone but ourselves then we would all be driving similar looking vehicles.

As I am very happy with my choice of wheels and mods, then that is all that matters to me. I share my experiences in modding my car so that others can see what can be done with a little effort, and a little budget.

While I don't always like others peoples choices with the mods they make to their vehicle, I do respect the effort and time they took to complete those mods. In return I would like the same courtesy.

I look forward to seeing a thread about your vehicle.

Regards
BenJ

Nice work fixing those peelings up. Few exterior bits that fade on e-series, and that plastic bit at the top of the bonnet (wipers come out of it, has vents) fades too. I'd like to take that out and paint it too.

Thanks, and yes I will be painting mine as well. Luckily I have a spare, so I can spend a bit of time and then just swap them over. The winscreen wiper will get the treatment too.
