At work we use a 4" PIN STRIPE REMOVER PAD / Eraser to remove double sided tape and rubbers from 2 pac Paint work and origanal OEM finishes without damage. U just need a air tool to attach it too. Every panel shop should have one , try borrow it from there.

Thanks mate... I might leave it to the panel shop to use instead tho when they paint and fit the fairy moulds. Just thought to save some cost by prepping my car.

hi
i have removed the double sided tape with a turps soaked cloth. Just hold the cloth on the tape and it will soften the glue making it easy to rub off.... and it doesnt damage the paint. p.s it also works on removing fish oil stains from paint.... LOL |

u can use hot water on a cloth and then let it soak. once u get most of it off use some turps to rub the excess glue off......works i think ?

I have used those pin stripe removers for years, awsome little things. You can buy them from ford parts, called an eraser wheel, but be careful if you do have one it will heat up the paint pretty quick if your not too careful.
Thinners on a rag is a good idea, but to not damage the paint, keep the rag wet. Eucliptus oil is another good item. |

yea the pin stripe removers do not work well on acrylic paints because it can damage the paint, but are fine on 2 pack paints
