I havnt noticed it as we havnt had any rain till lately but it seems water is getting up between the boot lid and the boot lid carpet inside.. has anyone had this problem b4? I need to fix it as it spills out when I open the boot and the new boot install I have done isnt carpeted or anything yet and I dont want the wood to get stuffed

High chance it is coming through the number plate plastic gromets, they used to leak when they were new so I can't see a reason why they wouldnt still do this.

Also do you have a spoiler fitted?

Perhaps leaking through the seal along the
top of the garnish...??
I had this problem, and some silicone based spray helps
keep it in check.

They are behind the number plate, remove the boot lid cover, jump in the boot with a torch and get someone to run water all over the boot with a hose, check the black plastic things the number plate screws screw into, a lot of them use to leak new, between 8 and 12 yrs later I am sure this wouldnt improve it.
