isnt the brake light fuse in the engine bay? check the ones in the engine bay

i dont think it is in the engine bay, its in the fuse box under the steering wheel...can anyone confirm this?

i had the headlights go out while i was driving home one night high beam worked but not low beam checked all the relays under the bonnet and found one had come loose maybe check that you havent blown one

ok guys i took off the two wires that plug into the brake switch and connected them together and the brake lights came on. does this mean the switch is faulty?

Yes, or when you installed the switch you didn't fit it properly. (missed it by that much . . . . )

Honestly can't remember how a brake switch works but can you connect it without fitting and depress it with your finger to see if it works. then at least youd know if it was a fitting issue or a switch issue... pretty picture 2!!

ok so after 3 days its finally fixed...just got back from repco where i bought an s60 switch, put it in, and all is good. seems the switch i got from repco was the wrong one and wasnt making connection properly. thanks to everyone for their help
