Is it possible to paint brake pads, or soemthing around the brakes on the wheels? I remember one of my mates saying something about that.

Probably referring to the calipers dude. Yeah, can be done. Use some paint that can handle a bit of heat and should be fine. Keep paint away from rotors and surface of the pad... you'll be fine, not much to it.

You can purchase different colored pads like EBC make http://www.ebcbrakes.com/Automotive.html and you can also paint your calipers if you want. Get some VHT paint for it. http://www.diamondspire.com/members/Pure%20Weevil/VHTBrochure.pdf

all you do is remove the wheel and then get a rag with some cleaner on it then just wipe ova the area being painted, let dry spray on paint then wait for 10 15mins then repaint if it looks good to u wait for it to dry round 30mins then remove the tape and refit the wheel and done there u go it looks 100 times better

Remove your jack from the boot...jack the car up...remove the wheel using the tyre iron (also found in the boot)...do what he says...put wheel back on using reverse steps then move to new wheel.
