Saw BA bonnet bulges with "Boss 260" stickers at the Melbourne Ford v Holden motor show a month or two ago. Anyone know where to get those or similar bulge stickers for XR8?

These are standard fitment to certain XR8/FPV models I think so a Ford dealer should be able to hook you up with a set but being Ford, they'll most likely ream you on pricing.

These would be custom decals... ford only put them on the pursuit and gt/gtp so they'd say 290 instead of 260.
Custom ones wouldn't set you back much, just go to a sticker shop.

Nah pretty sure Ford dealers are putting them on MK2 XR8s. Look great IMO.

Thanks chaps. Ford are putting 290 stickers on the GT MKII, but I have not seen them (ie, 260 stickers) on the XR8 MKII. Custom may be the go.

Got overtaken the other day by a orange MK2 GT. It had a black bonnet(gay) with bonnet stickers with "boss 320" on it. The sounded unreal too.

According to my local Ford parts supplier, genuine (ie, $190) bulge stickers are available for FPV cars only.

$190 for the buldge stickers! You've got to be kidding? What do they through in a free set of side stripes? For that price you are better to go to a sign writting shop and get them made!

Have now been to a signwriter. I had gone with the idea of having the stickers made to the same style as "XR8" badging on the car, but that would need to be custom made and I was not sure how it would look (either having the stickers at all on the car or the xr8 style font), so have used a standard block style font to say "BOSS 260" in the same size as the side xr8 badge.

The stickers should be on by the end on this week or early next. If they look any good, and if anyone is interested, I may be able to have more made up (cost should be around $45 fitted (contra Ford's $190)).

i know of a store in Perth and all he sells is Holden and Ford stickers. he also sells in style according to model example if u have a cobra he has laser style ford cobra ones. to add a touch of class he also sells funny mats like "Ford piss on Holden" and vice versa. you just got to look around. but as someones mentioned the Ford dealership could help ya out.
