To cure my own curiosity, Are the mounting brackets on a AU front bumper the same as the EF/EL/XH bumper brackets?
Need to know ASAP.
Cheers.

Just looked at some pics of a AU bumper and it looks like there aren't any brackets. TThe EF/EL/XH bars appear to have the same brackets as the EA/EB/ED.
The reason I asked was that I'm after a bullbar for my AU ute and I've seen one from a XH and was wondering how much work would be required to make it fit my ute.

No they are totally different.
AU bar doesn't have mounting brackets as such. They clip over the bar reo and bolt on the sides.
Be careful fitting a 5 poster etc on an AU.
If the bar isn't tested to be compliant with an airbag it could result in a defect further down the track.

Based on that fact my Mum is the best around!

Looks like I might have to look for one that is definately desined for the AU ute then...Definately need it airbag compatible as I don't want to get a defect.
