hey all i have a 94 ed classic, my current bumper bar is shagged it has a crack down the bottom and has screws holding it together all over the shop!! so i got another one from the wreckers, im goin to get the white on the bottom resprayed, but was wondering how i would go about restoring or fixing the scratches and marks on the top of the bumper? (the grey section)
has anyone attempted this or know of any ideas? have attached pics of both bumpers Attachment: File comment: new bumper bar need restoring on grey section will be resprayed white

rub everything including the grey pick up all big chips and then high fill the whole bar. Paint the white section white and paint the grey, grey. easy as piss

sweet sounds good, im not much of a panel beater but was thinking of preping it for the spray painter, any ideas on what sandpaper to start with and what to finish with? also anyone got hints on glueing the red stripe back together or should i leave it to the spray painter..

hey mate, do what i did, sand the grey section with 600 grit wet and dry and then 800. prepsol the lot then get a plastic/acrylic primer (if the scratches are bad you can buy spray on filler to fill the little bits if not a few coats of primer should fill them up) then sand with 800 and use a can or too of duplicolour (been and ED should be "dynamic white") then a few coats and your done, do it to the whole bar if you wana go that far. i masked off my grey bumper inserts where yours are red then removed the tape after dry, worked a treat but takes time to mask off neatly. a cheap solution really......
