Now i have a question ,I have Grey leather seats and the drivers side seat is a bit worn ,it is worn down to a brown colour (it's not cracked or split yet) is there anything i can use to put the colour back or do i need to have it re-upholstered ?

I would try a leather cleaner and if that doesn't do it then leatherique dye will fix it

This is my fathers brand new BF XR6 turbo exterior trim after application of trim dream and fireglaze double strength sealant by machine
It's not ultra glossy but as BA to BF owners know, these trims are hard and grey looking. Thanks to trim dream, permanently light to medium gloss black

A close up shot of it
Sure it's not glossy like tyre gel or silicone spray but it will stay like that The very bottom edge has to be done by hand.

Trim Dream version 2 will be available soon for those who want a sample
This updated formula will be mixed up within days to cut down the three steps needed to get the trim shiny and glossy. Trim dream on it's own without the other two ingredients didn't deliver the gloss I wanted so the other two will be added in and testing begin end of this week hopefully If it works, one step by machine will deliver permanently medium glossy trims totally UV proof. Then I can begin providing samples and bigger bottles to those interested

P21s polishing soap or finish restorer would knock those out really quick.
Need to enhance the finish after polishing with a paint polish or glaze.

Yes it is. I detailed a 97 EL XR8 during the week and did get his trims glossy and black (lower trims) even though they were brown from factory
Best result I've had so far. I used bluefire on his car too. Paint not as good as yours though. Bonnet is ruined with cracks and water etching. No you cannot use it by hand. It will clean them but will not burnish them. You need heat to burnish off the crappy shineless brown/grey top coat and bring out the soft, black and glossy finish from underneath

Got some reflections and black look from it now. Sorry millard. I won't be coming your way this time Only going to mildura and murray bridge next week due to distance and fuel cost Will make sure I come down in april or may regardless and do your trims with trim dream V2

I have just finished going through the 15 pages of posts, wow there is so much information here, I am a little overloaded I have been trying to take notes as I read.
I have to confess that I have been taking my car to the auto car wash at the local servo, but after reading and seeing all the pics here I feel that I have been doing my car a great disservice, so I am going to start hand washing so my car can be all shiny! I have a few of questions Aurora From what I have gathered, when I first wash my car it would be wash – dry – claybar – polish – car wax (wet look) – sealant - carnauba wax Does that look right? Do I just do each step once, or do I repeat some, I thought I saw that you do multiple coats of sealant but can’t seem to find it. what and when would I do the follow washes, it’s a daily driver, not garaged wash – dry – (if panels feel rough claybar) – car wax – sealant - carnauba wax please shoot me down if I have that wrong, its almost 3am and im not sure if im making complete sense. I have a Phantom XR6 and I saw a post about metallic paint saying its best to only use polymer or acrylic sealants and not to use wax as it will dull and hide the metalic, I was thinking of using the carlack 68 Auto Finish, that should be fine on my car? And not to use things like mothers reflections car wax? Is there something I can use to give the car that ‘wet look’ but still keep it very shiny, bar setting up a sprinkler next to it? I need to remove some swirls from the paint, what polish would be good for that? Is there something I can go down to autobarn/supercheap and get, is Meguiar’s crystal polish or alike any good, or would I be better off in the long run getting some products off you, as I will need a complete kit, I don’t even think I have a sponge here I think I have a bucket though hahahahaha. Oww yeah im tired. Anyway let me know. In case I forgot to mention, great thread, fantastic info. |

Wow mate thats a big post for someone at 3am Glad you like my thread OK your not far off the ball mate Will you be doing this by machine or hand If hand, I'll get you some menzerna. That s**t kicks the s**t out of stuff at auto stores for true swirl and scratch removal Wash - dry - clay - compound (if necessary). If not - polish and finishing polish/glaze Prepsol wipedown or use carlack 68 (the yellow bottle) Apply all these polishes and sealants with a foam applicator pad leave the carlack 68 on for 20 mins and spray werkstatt acrylic jett over the top and wipe both off with a microfibre towel To be honest mate, I reckon if you went for one of my kits it would make the finish you end up with, better, last seven to twelve months or more (I'll chuck in a sample of fireglaze double strength sealant) For a killer wet look it needs some ultra soft glazes Clearkote yellow moose, ultra gloss superpolish and driven premium polymer OK here's what I think you can get from supercrap or autobarn (autobarn probably better) Clay bar - clay magic blue or meguiars 200gram bar (don't get quick clay as it's only a tiny bar and would be lucky to do the car two times) Lambswool or microfibre wash mitt - meguiars very good I've been told) Shampoo/conditioner. Bowdens own shampoo is very nice. better than all that meg's have. Don't worry about meg's MF towels though - made in india or china (can't remember) A kit from me could be this Sample of Menzerna Intensive Polish PO91L Sample of Menzerna Final Polish PO87MF Sample of Fireglaze Double Strength sealant 255ml Ultra Gloss superpolish ($27.00) Sample of Clearkote Yellow moose Jeffs Werkstatt Acrylic Jett 500ml Detailers Paradise Monster fluffy towel $20.00 2 x Pakshak ultra plush MF towels (freebies) Total price - $80.00 (I'm being generous) Your total with other supplies and carlack would probably be 160.00 Process Wash - dry - clay Menzerna Intensive (wipe off straight away) Menzerna Final Polish (same as above) Ultra Gloss & Clearkote (equal amount) worked in together (same as above) Carlack 68 Auto Finish (the base coat) (leave it in for 30 mins) Jeffs Werkstatt Jett (spray it on and wipe of both auto finish and jett with MF towel) 2 more coats of Jett (just spray & wipe with MF towel) Fireglaze double strength sealant after next wash (apply with foam pad, wipe off 20 mins or more later with MF) Polish your glass with ultra gloss and carlack 68 Seal with Acrylic Jett x 2 Do the same with wheels as well So sure it's a decent investment but you will have enough there for at least a year or two of car care Now yes I'm being generous but that's how I am with a new customer I can source the ultra gloss and menz locally and I have the rest in stock Now for foam pads, it's best to go for rectangular ones if you can't find one, I'll chuck one in for you Hope this isn't too confusing Probably do your car over both days of weekend or something All the sealants will need three days to cure so don't wash the car or even get it wet for that long. They need to cure From then on just be gentle with the car, use two buckets to wash like I've stated in this thread Do not scrub , just glide the mitts over the panel and rinse it clean in water bucket before moving to next panel If you decide to go to a self serve wash, only do a high pressure soap and a rinse and spot free rinse Presoak will take the shine right off of it and strip the sealers Fireglaze will really make your work from then on easy. May last up to two years
