Only when you notice the rinse water sitting on top of the paint or taking ages to sheet off
If a car has sealant or wax on it, most likely it will sheet well but an application once every few washes will make the water sheet away much faster

You don't need much on the whole car, cover most of each panel in a very light coating, applying it in a left to right pattern or sawtooth pattern over half of the doors. Roof and boot should be covered completely.

I'd say 50 to 100ml to use on the whole car
Once I've mixed up some more in a few weeks, I'll PM you and send you a 500ml bottle to try out on the EL

So wash it, rinse it quickly then spray on vanish (only takes a minute at most) and re rinse
Then just blot dry the few spots of water that are left behind. In some cases the water on the bottom will sheet upwards and the top group of water will go down and they'll meet in the middle and then all come off the paint in one big line of water.

Probably the best stuff I've formulated so far along with trim dream and the new textured trim cream.

you can polish them and they will come up brilliant but since they are not porous, no sealant or wax will keep them red

the peanut butter only works for so long
Strip off, sand, paint, clear and buff them then apply a UV proof paint sealant like toughseal and you'll be laughing

Oh yes, I've done a few test videos and once I get the new charger for my friends Sony Handicam we will be doing a whole series of videos that are well thought out and using voice overs for more professional look

Hello Millard and the ford modders

2008 will be the biggest year in the short history of Dream Machines with a series of instructional DVD's highlighting the techniques and products to create an award winning finish

We hope to make it to a few big car shows to promote the detailing business and the products we use.

Trim Dream V4.11 is the final version that I have formulated and I'd like to send a member a sample of this system
Anyone with an EF to BF falcon will be considered

This production formula can now be used by hand and will be virtually as good as using a machine

The new improved formula totally bridges the gap between the lacklustre look of unpainted plastics, rubbers, vinyl's and urethanes and high gloss painted surfaces to leave an ultra high gloss shine that lasts permanently and can be enhanced with the new ultra slick protective glossy cream that you quickly wipe on with a microfibre or terry towel until it dissappears into the surface.

this is cutting edge technology that removes all impurities and lifts the true shine from underneath and makes it appear painted and clearcoated.

Once applied, the heat transference burnishing compound, fuses itself to the surface and prevents the trims from ever losing their shine and looking like they were when new.

Brown and grey trims become black and wet looking with a near perfect glass like clarity.

This three step kit will also work on wiper arms, glass and paintwork
To win one free sample of the three step kit (only takes minutes to apply), including a master detailers foam pad and the protective glossy spray, answer the following question

Q: What product do Meguiars make for detailing exterior trims?

I'll be doing a video tomorrow of applying this product by hand and machine and will post it tomorrow night

there are 3 Meguairs products used for detailing exterior trims, they are Exterior Trim Coating, Gold Class Trim Detailer and Gold Class Vinyl/Rubber Protectant, the latter is more of an interior detailing product though... BTW, i have an AU

OK cool, you got it

PM me your postal address and I'll mix up and post you the samples with printed instructions

You should really love it on the lower exterior trims and the wiper arms of your AU

hey there, just wondering about the leather/fake leather in the NL fairlane. Just wanting to know what to use on the seats, door trims, and arm rest.

Also the best thing to use for the dash, i have used a few products, but they all seem to wear off pretty quickly.

Sorry if you have covered it already, but it is a very long thread to go through.

cheers

BEN

Leatherique is a top product for leather, fake leather (vinyl) can be done with lexol, 303 or similar product
Door trims (inside door skins) would love a coating of Carlack 68 plastic care and you can use that for your tyres too and it's silicone free

I got the exterior trim detailer during the week and used it last night, and its one of the best things i have used on the AU, the 3 step procedure really bought the wing up reall well, and i will be doing the rest of the trims when i can, and also trying it on my EF, and a mates EA. i'll throw some pics up of a before and after pretty soon
