well it's my passion and I get to live out my dream job, working on anything and everything automotive wise
its the solvent based silicone products which cause that glare effect on interiors we prefer to use natural alternatives such as quartz and silicate ion which have no bad effect on any surface we have tested.

hey mate, are you still selling products?
i have an ed sprint(polynesion green) that has medium to bad swirling and scratching. from reading this i will clay ,clean and polish etc. i live in nz and choice of products is fairly limited so would quite happily buy some off you if you can ship them over here, what would you recommend? if you cant do this i will probably be looking at some autoglym stuff (srp or uds) i will be doing this all by hand. thanks |

Honestly I have no idea what products are available in New Zealand but I bet that meguiars, autoglym etc would be there
I got out of the product sales business and focused on detailing and refinishing only Zas.com.au and D and S auto.com.au are the stockists of the products I currently use so you can deal directly with them for fast shipping and a wide variety of products My arena here at ford mods is "ADVICE" and TIPS

George Howdy George Sorry about that, I have so many hobbies and interests and such little time to tend to them all I'm also taking a 3 month hiatus from detailing forums and taking a well earned break for 3 weeks during the holidays. Yeah my videos lately are all about my video movie and vcr collection. new videos about detailing will be made in february after a lengthy break

I am just going to add a couple of tips, the Megs quick surface clay kit is a decent clay baring kit to use, i have used it on mine and other peoples cars and none of the bars have crumbled. its just a matter of how u take care of them after you finsh with them. And they are well priced too, only thing i can fault them on is that they are a very fine grade bar, and they wont works as good as the Clay Magic red or blue bars. but for the price you pay its good stuff imo.
Also i have recently dealt with these two sites for my detailing gear (starting up my own business) and they delivered within 3 days of me ordering it! and everything was spot on and prices are pretty good. www.carcareproducts.com.au and www.zas.com.au. I also have been using Prima Swirl and menzerna PO85RD on my Xr6 as well (which is dynamic white) and the results are amazing the white looks so much more cleaner and vivid! As white as white can get lol. If you do it by hand as Matty said use LC hand applicator pads as they are very easy to work with! Also the guy from gloridaz wanted me to say hi to you Matt.. I cant remember his name thou..

*** NEWS FLASH ***
Hey folks I hope your all having a great start to 2010 This is the start of a whole new chapter for me this year and I thought it best to get the news out straight off nice and early As of mid last year, I decided to get out of the detailing product sales market and just focus on detailing Well after much thought over december and xmas, I have now decided to get out of detailing altogether (as a business) as the passion for it just isnt there anymore and I'm not as young as I once was and dont want to be doing the ridiculous hours and all the wear and tear on the body. there are many other reasons too, including how primitive the technology and techniques of detailing still are and how screwed up the industry is worldwide. My health has suffered, social life almost non existant and for the last half of 2009, I became a very stressed, frustrated, grumpy and tired person. Life's too short for that. Every once in a blue moon, I will do a vehicle or two and still post up pics and advice For now I'm working at Splash and unless I can secure work which is in the home entertainment industry (video store, video distribution company or anything to do with video movies), then I shall remain at splash for many years. That doesnt mean I'll dissappear from here or stop posting pics and providing advice

Wow thats a bummer, I was looking through old posts and youtube vids, and was going to come and see you about some Trim Dream.
Can you recommend anything similar that I can polish EF rubber trim with? |
