Hey Matt,
Just about to take delivery of a new XR5.
You did my ST170 a little while ago, and keeping it in good knick got me an extra 1500 come trade in.
Keeping up the appearance was good after buying some pinnacle products.

Was wondering if getting a paint protection system applied to it by someone such as G-Techniq, or Toughseal via D and S or Spotless was a good idea, or I should just go down the protection route myself using the either of the above or the Glare system.

Thanx
Stephen

Hey Stephen
I work at Splash car wash cafe at the moment and we are the only authorised Gtechniq applicator
it's the best stuff out there for super easy cleaning and you can build on top of it with Glare or any other products you like (just as long as they are not abrasive)

Glare would be the next best thing to Gtechniq and can be applied yourself with just two products

As I said Matt, here are a few pics of poor Lucifa's paint :(

I know you have told me before what to do and I HAVE been meaning to do so but, it's been one thing and another and of course, my apathy has caused the paint to get worse plus, I am a s**t painter.

I have tried a couple of Meguairs products but to no avail. :(
I am also terrified that if I do get a polisher and use it then ruin the pain I will be even more p****d off :(

Thanks George, some good and bad news for you

Bad - rear spoiler needs sanding back and re clearing unless it's metallic which would mean sand back to bare and a repaint (for advice on this go and see nic and adam in arncliffe)

Good - the rest of the car looks fine. just needs a dewaxing, clay block treatment and some TLC with some good products. make sure you seal the paint too.
I am happy to help you out some when I come over to sydney around august - september time

Excellent results on the Aston Martin Matt. Good to hear your doing well.

Done the second coat of driven marine on the wagon last week and still looks a treat. Will be doing a third and final layer next month.

Just another question, I can just apply another layer of prima amigo at any time cant I?

Thanks.

i reckon prima amigo is best used before pro polish or any sealant. Using it after will give you extra shine, but it will wash off easily after a wash or a rainy day/night.

Apply it after say micro or menzerna, then seal it with GLARE pro polish and/or Driven polish.

yes you can apply another layer of Amigo, just remember to leave it to dry and cure for at least an hour and apply driven straight over the top of the amigo residue and apply driven a second time as a sealant.
amigos results wont wash out but you will have taken the driven sealant previously applied straight off

The paint on this car is a bit buggered.
{DESCRIPTION}
From these photos do you think that it could be recorved without a re-spray?
