Hi guys,
Was just wondering how hard it is to swap out headlights on an EL Ghia..... One of the ones on the car I just bought is new (courtesy of a now deceased dog) so was hoping to replace the other one as well..... make it nice and shiny and new too....... Do you need to remove the front bar to get at the mounts, or is it just that shroud in front of the radiator support? I won't be seeing the car again for 6 weeks, so want to know how hard it is. If it's easy, I'll get one off ebay ready for my return home!!

My service manual said remove the bumper, but you don't need to. Just need to take the scrivet things out and take that black shroud up and you can get all to the bolts there

yeah, luckily you have a fairmont, on the base models, well atleast ef the bumper must be removed, but on the fairmont remove the black shroud piece on the bumper, take off the indicator, and pop that out. 4 bolts on the headlight, some are a bit awkward so play around, then just got to pull it out, but beware it's a b**ch to get out.
