hey guys, second topic for the night.

i've been having a chat wth my mate wondering if the chrome mirror that fairmonts come out with would suit my car?

my car is bonic blue and im not sure if it'll suit.

what do you guys reckon?

what do you mean by chrome mirrors?

my Ghia only has body-coloured mirrors.

im not sure if it was standard or optional on ba or bf fairmonts, but i've seen a few with chrome mirrors. i have a feeling im wrong about this.

i'll try get a picture

maybe someone just had the cover of the mirror chromed? im not sure.

haha yes, that was my first car :P then i bought the ba.

i tried to change it but i couldnt change it too SIC_XR or something haha, but i hsould change the avatar shouldnt i?

hmmm. id say if it was a deeper blue then it'd look good.

i personally wouldnt think itd look too flash in Bionic.

could always give it a go and if it doesnt work just flog them off to a mate :D

ooo the colour name is bionic, i've been spelling it bonic haha.

so maybe give it a miss? i'd just like to do something to make it stand out abit more, but keep the kit stock.

just having a hard time picking an exhaust i wanna get fitted becasue i dont want it to sound s**t so im unsure of what to get.

The chrome mirror "scalps" as Ford calls them, were standard on the BF Fairlane Ghia and LTD, and the BFII Force 6 and 8 by FPV. (BF Fairlane G8 got colour coded mirrors.) They are easy to install by clicking into place.

I think chrome is a prestige look more than a sporty look but I've seen a few XRs with the chrome mirrors and they look pretty good.

im fence sitting on wether the look of the chrome mirros would look great against my sparkling breeze paint.. a potential mod im interested in in the future..

ive got a ba mk2 xr6 in velocity (close to bionic blue but a lighter metallic blue) and i got the chrome mirror scalps and they look great. at first i was a bit iffy but it grows on ya.

now all i need is the piece on the boot chromed similar to ef fairmonts and im happy!
