like what people say... um the factory chrome strips are one peice with the mould and are flush with each other... buying just the chrome and adding it on is an ok idea.. but wont be flush and the thikness of the plastic chrome will be sticking out.

would not get the chrome and mould from ford.. they want around 180 for the front bumper and 200 and something for the rear bumper..

You really need to have another look at your moulds. They are not one piece with the mould. They are doublesided taped inside a groove with the ends tucked in. If I still had my 'L i'd prove it to you. Earlier models NA-NC they were one piece.
So you can replace the chrome strip as I have posted earlier.

oh yeah ur right dont need to prove it..... i dont know what i was thinking. yep u can take that old strip out and replace with the new strip.

Most Auto Parts stores like Autobarn, Bursons or Repco will sell chrome strip in rolls. However you need a sample of the existing strip to get the right size.

Find someone that knows what they are doing behind the service desk... You can buy just the chrome strips from ford with out buy the bumper moulds that they fit into.

If I remember and get the chance to see my mate at the local dealership, I'll get the part numbers for you.

I had genuine Ford chrome strips on my Fairmont front/back bars but changed to XR font/back and used the cheaper ones from Ebay.
Cannot tell the difference and a lot cheaper - $32.00.
Exactly the same 'D' shape as the original - probably made at the same factory!!!!
