As I recall, they were about $65 a pair a year or so ago IIRC. Whether that's lowered or increased since then I wouldn't have the foggiest.

EFFalcon has a set on his car which you can see in the photo on this thread:

http://www.fordmods.com/phpBB2/viewtopi ... t=effalcon

and the one in his gallery:

http://www.fordmods.com/phpBB2/gallery. ... t=EFFalcon

They have the advantage of being an easy fit to any EF/EL sedan or wagon (the exception being the EL Fairmonts but they already have the Fairlane moulding fitted as standard but with an orange lens. Genuine NF clear lenses are only $24.60 each making them the cheapest cars to upgrade of the lot) as you don't have to worry about painting or replacing the moulding.

Personally, I think the NF ones look a little better but I must admit to not having seen them across the full gamut of EF/EL colours, they probably look better on lighter colours (like the Argon Silver of my Fairmont for instance) than darker ones like the Heritage Geen(?) of EFFalcons car.

I have An EL Fairmont ... are you saying that the NF clear side one will fit straght into my EL :?: without replacing the moulding :?:

you can put the clear indicator in without the mould it will leave a little bit of a hole similar to the au clear indicators i think. one of mine isnt in the mould while im repainting it! looks ok im putting the mould back on though i think

Yeah, the molding do look better but they are too expensive compared to finding some clear ones for GLi/Futura/XR which are a striaght swap.
If anyone can find someone who can supply these, please post in forum.

Just to reiterate: The stock side marker lens is identical across all EF models as well as the EL Gli, Futura and XR only some models (like my EF Fairmont originally and your XR by the sound of it) surround it with a larger, body coloured moulding (the poverty packs only have a thin black seal around it). If you can find a set of the clear ones in the original style they should just drop in.

Should do. When I was researching what to do with the EF Fairmont it was mentioned in a couple of the posts I found both here and around the traps.

He's not talking about putting it in without the moulding. His car already has the Fairlane moulding fitted making the replacement of the lens ridiculously cheap and easy.

As I said, your XR has the same body coloured mouldings around the sidemarkers as my {DESCRIPTION} did. The lens in my Fairmont was exactly the same as that on my Dads GLi the moulding just creates an optical illusion making it appear different. If you can get a pair of the clear ones in the original style then they should fit your XR just as easily as the poverty packs.

Or do I fork out $70 from the RAT???

$70 isnt that cheap, but if its the best fit, ill pay it....

NL indicators will not fit properly without their mouldings as the clips which hold them in are too small. I had to glue mine on, :)
