Hi guys

i just bought a set of clear side indicators that fit onto the standard EF/EL clip and i have no idea how to get the amber lens off so i can glue the clear lens on. its a piece of piss to get the whole indicator off but i need to get the lens off of the base clip. Anyone on here seen/heard of these before or know how to do this properly.

the pic will explain it better than i can.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Matt

are they glued in? id say maybe try and get a hot air gun and soften the glue to remove it.

The car manual tells you how to pull apart your indicator lense in half does it?

ah no i shouldve been more clear..... DONT put them in the oven as the plastic backing is very soft.

However, it couldnt hurt to put it in for 15 seconds at a time and see if it makes it any easier to dislodge?

mate i bet a fair few people here dont even know they can be purchased, hence the reason why everyone gets pointed to "ratman's" clear indicators. I was gonna buy a bulk order and sell em'....

LOL sorry I should have  thats what i meant.. i wasn't gunna watch them shrivel up into a blob of molten plastic :P

so how do i do it then ? i dont care if i wreck the amber lens getting it out

is there a product out there that will dissolve glue and not plastic ??
