Hi,

I've been a member of fordmods for a while now but this is my first post. My EF is currently being resprayed and I'm at the stage where its sitting in primer and I cant decide which colour to paint it. The original colour is polynesian green and has a lot of dents and scratches. I was looking at somthing like the congo green on the AU's and a few BA's but I still want to keep the car looking dark when not in full sunlight. At first I was limiting my choices to only similar greens but now the car is getting a full respray (as in door sills, inside doors, inside boot, inside bonnet and most of the engine bay) then why not choose and awesome colour that suits the ef/el's and maybe one that hasn't been done yet.

So if anyone has any suggestions of colours please help!

Heres a picture of it originally. Note the rims and clear side indicator have been photoshopped.

Also heres a picture of a congo green AU. Thanks to whoever owns this car.

i reckon that colours been done too much already. like the PPG harlequin's that were around quite a few years ago.
If you want something totally different maybe try colours from different manufactures.

Im assuming this will be a daily driver so be carefull of which colour you choose as you dont want a hefty repair bill if you scratch it

Yes it will be a daily driver. I'm not looking at any pearls etc. Just standard metallic colours you'd find on todays cars, but also somthing unique. Its just hard to settle for one colour, but I have to make a decision before tomorrow arvo because thats the only chance I'll get to visit the paint shop this week.

Thanks for your help

Yeah its really nice. When i was working at ford they have a BF typhoon with the black 19's in dejavu and it is a killer combination. Its like a nice smokey green that almost looks like grey in some shades. Its not chromaflair paint either, its just a standard mettalic colour.

Just a few photoshops. I like the Phantom purple version the best. DeJaVu also looks pretty good as seen on the GT below.

too be honest, i reckon the poly green, when nicely waxed and polished, looks shmicko!! If i were going a custom colour then i would proly look for a more vivid than phantom purple.

And where abouts in townsville are you?

I am doing uni down there, in Cairns atm, but will be back in a couple of weeks.

PS: Dont scare me, i saw those indicators and i thought someone else in townsville had them! :(

EDIT: you're not the guy from engineering are you?
