ok, im trying to convince a mate to buy an au xr that an absolute bargin except he dosent like the s**t au xr front end (who does) so my question is... how hard is it to change the front end to a normal look one (mainly the headlights. Is it headlights only or front bar or more?

maybe he should just buy a BA. if he doesnt like the xr front he probably wont like the standard one either.

should be lights and front bar, maybe the bonnet. There are a lot of people who would swap the fronts for yours dude, take a look around the place (you could even ebay the old front end)

if its AU1 then its just bumper and headlights and grille, if its AU2 then its bonnet as well

put a BA front on it, im not 100% sure whats required for the sedans but i know u can convert a AU ute to a BA with front bar headlights grill bonnet side panels and front doors

I could see that looking really good. Its an expensive venture but its individual. The BA XR front end would look awesome.
