Anyway, this is the brand and model of relay that was used...

This is where it is positioned..

This is where all the corresponding wires go to

86 - Negative wires for lamps
87 - Positive wires for lamps
85 - wire for switch in car
30 - direct to positive battery terminal

Diagram on the relay

switch wire was fed through clutch cable hole

wire inside the car (not always like this! lol)

This, i think is where the lamps are controled by the parker switch, via the cigarette lighter globe. Not directly from the parkers.
Image
From there, the wire from the relay and the wire from the cigarette lighter globe come together and join via a toggle twitch hidden in the central glove box

Once again, hope this helps.

Nah they wearn't. The factory way was connected to the turning lamps and they would only stay on for 5 seconds or so after the indicator was turned off, (enough time to turn a corner...)
To be honest i don't think ELs in general ever came with the option of cornering lamps. I believe that they were only fitted on the NF/NL fairlanes.
No worries :)

Only in Fairlanes and LTDs mate. There were a few extra things VDO implemented in the clusters that weren't actually used by Ford. Funnily enough Fairlanes and LTDs actually have a totally different cluster too.

Those Option 20 EL cop dashs are excellent. A mate of mine in Melbourne has an ex cop option 20 EL Futura and I've always loved the dash in his.
