Genuine EL XR kit will be a bit expensive...I would say over budget of $600. Assuming you get everything genuine...even the side skirts which are pretty hard to come by. Then obviously installation, prep and paint costs.

Well here is a fibreglass one from SSV and its already over 1k so I would think genuine will be alot more, unless you can find second parts that arent damaged

But would definitely be over 1.5K if you can still get every part new from Ford.

And yes, they have been NLA for a while. Probably ended up selling off kits for $5 a piece. plper1 wrote: fk me, why didnt people just get the XR kit when they bought an XR to begin with Because they were a $2500 option. Bit pricey on a $35,000 car. |

You'll prob find most people took the 16" wheel option, which was $2500, over the kit.
Adding $5k to the base price was prob something buyers couldnt stomach. Prob get a much greater chance of getting a kit in the Oct 97 onwards models. 16" wheels came standard then, so people could use that $2500 on the kit. |

Quite different similar in ways to concorde's wheels, but particularly ugly.
where as ef xr had half decent wheels anyway, hence much, much higher percentage of el's that got the optioned up wheel compared to the ef.
