Hey, one of the guys here at work asked me how much it would cost to get bonnet vents fitted to his car. He already has them, just needs them fitted, and painted.

Any idea's on what price range he is looking at?

best bet just give a local bodykit shop a buzz cant imagine it would be too much...as im guessing most who know what they were doing could cut the holes and fit em without respraying the entire bonnet

depends what kind.

ricey ones (that just stick one), probably the cost of painting, tube of sikaflex and hour charge of labour to glue them on.
ONes that require the bonnet to be cut are gunna be more. also depends how much cutting is to be done and were on the bonnet and how accurate it has to be (general shape or precision fit for the vent).

i was pretty p****d with the responses i got from panelbeaters over here, especially those at specific spoiler/bodykit shops, about having XR bonnet vents fitted - no-one had any idea, so i just waited until i picked up an XR bonnet - $250 it cost me in perfect condition, so now it just needs a spray :)

are you serious?? they make stick on ones?? What is the point in putting in vents that arent vents?

I saw a guy with a shaker, that he popped on this bonnet at car shows, but thought he was just a 1 off wanker.

XR8 chic, next time you see excels and lancers with bonnet decorations, ahve a closer look, usually there just stuck on not actual vents or anything...

It cost me $60 to get my 1 sequential scoop painted. A few places were cheaper, but i wanted an exact colour match.
