hey guys, i got a XE ute which is nick named the boonga ute, for obvious reasons, now currently im thinking about mounting a couch in the back for a bit of a laugh, but would quite possibly be used when i head out bush chasing wild life i was thinking about making the back rest fold down too so i can still put the cover over the top which would stop the rain getting in etc. Its not going to cost me anything to make it so i want your thoughts on it, vote away.
the ute in question

DONT do it dude
it is damn dangerous to any passengers you may carry especially if u are going bush bashing. the chances of a roll over/debri hitting them is too high there has been a few cases around where ppl have been on seats/couches in the back of utes tthat have been killed now it it was a panalvan (with metal rear cover not fibreglass ) id say go for it and add a roll bar for safety

i should probably mention that it will be gettig roll bars fitted too, for the main part the couch will only be used for car shows etc where either me or my mates are showing so gives us some where to chill, i would no be driving at any kind of speed with passangers in the back, im really not that stupid, more putting it there to complete the boonga look if that makes sence.?

Sticking an ouch in the back of a cute will be more fun than sticking a couch in the back of a ute

this is working suprisingly well, i pulled off the arms of the couch and it fits inbetween the wheel arches on the back going to start cutting the back up tomorrow to make it fold over, had a pew today rather comfy and im getting questions from my mum about why there are bits of chair all over the yard lol any way time for some pictures.
when i first grabbed the couch one i pulled off the arms and showing how much room i had to move also put more lights on the bar
