I've done an XR6 projector upgrade with the miniH1.

It goes from this:

How about this . If someone has an old ed xr6 projector headlight and sends it to me . I have a set of mini H1 projectors that you can have for nothing ,all you will need to do is get an H1 hid kit and your done. The retrofit source recommends buying the morimoto h1 globes because they are cooler when lit and wont peel the chrome off the projector like plug and play H1 sets. However if you have a plug and play H1,H4,H7 or whatever you just need to change the globes
ANY TAKERS ???

Thanks. It was pretty straight forward.
A little bit of fabrication required, but not much.

I know this is an old thread but fk it, I want the au style projectors!!! I like the dual projectors but the singles are ok aswell I want to separate my headlight assy anyway so why not do this at the same time?

@my671fordv8. How much for a kit for single low/ high projector kit? I want to leave the high beams normal
Cheers :)

I don't do them anymore . But if you go to theretrofitsource.com you can order all the parts you need . Mini H1 's are the easiest to install as they use the original globe mounting the only mod you may need to make is to square up the 3 pins where the globe sitsso that the big pin is directly at the top instead of a slight angle

I have some minih1 projectors left over in my shed.

I recommend using an extended Apollo shroud for the AU headlight. It seems to fill it up best and suit the huge size of the headlight.
A guy on AFF used these on his T2 TE50 and painted the shroud body colour. Looks great IMO.

There may be a solution for that soon.
It's not a retrofit, but a replacement light pre-fitted with Bi-Xenon HID projectors.

They sell 7" Toyota landcruiser bi xe.on lights on eBay which to me look very similar to xr model Ford's , 3measure the diameter of your xr lights and search for this size on eBay also these are halo aswell
