Ok, As some know I removed the side stripes on my EL XR6. I was constantly polishing them back to red (from pink) and basically i wasnt too keen on them in the first place. Long term I plan to take the red moulds out of the front and rear bars, fill them and have entirly smooth bumpers and sides.
Now the problem is when you take the side mouldings off, you also take off the moulding the blinker sits into. This leaves you with a large crummy looking hole in your guards. Completly filling the holes isnt an option as the blinkers need to be there legally. After much experementing and searching I came to the conclution that i would modify to fit CLEAR and smaller aftermarket type blinkers. Enter the pair below. From a late model Corolla. The goal this weekend is to fit them neatly into the guards. I have a few concepts on how to but Ill see what works best when i pull the guards off this weekend. Watch this space.....

thats gonna look great i reckon, completely unique and should look really sleek without the red stripes...good to see originality

Ok after much prepping, bogging, sanding, bogging, sanding, more sanding spray putty and paint... There done!
They look a top job and almost all of the credit goes to my room mates brother who basically had the skills to get this done. I reccomend it if you have a spare weekend and are willing to hook in.

they look tops, sounds like you put in heaps of work but they look really new and different. maybe another type of car has better fitting indicators...
