hi ive got a 2003 ba xr8 ute with a hardlid and want to put a custom toolbox that slides out the rear when you drop the tail gate .anyone done anything like this?

Be prepared to pay, I'm yet to see a cheap setup.
Have a look around at the four wheel drive places, a lot of manufacturers/fabricators that do the slide out draws for wagons do ute ones to.
The problem usually being you won't get 100% roll out, for example say 2meters of tray you will probably only get a draw that comes out 1 meter or little more, but takes up 2 meters of space.

Still convenient but I think that's why you don't see more around.
