I have seen a few cars on the net lately with dark tail lights. One EB that had them made me want them bad!!
To do this mod is it just a layer of window tint directly onto the plastic casing of the lights? And how would I go about doing this myself?

not window tint
is is a can of "nightshade" u spray iton the inside of the tail lights u will need to take them out to do it dont do it too dark or cops will hunt u down!

Ok so where could I get this spray? Any auto shop that stocks car paint?
I was thinking about that, I am planning on getting LED brakelights and indicators which are much brighter than stock halogen's.

i hate this whole tinted tail lights and corner lights etc etc just really silly can't see or just see brake lights unless they have like really good led bulbs....

make sure you put the resistor mod on as well it gives u heaps more power *LOL*
just leave them stock mate cause u dont want the cops pulling u over cause it looks gay!!!

i quite like seeing them when theyve got just a bit of tinting on them.
but the almost black that i see is just plain in considerate to the other drivers on the road |

a few light coats and all is good but if you spray em black then dont winge when either a) someone runs up your a*** or b) cops d**k you for a canary

What is the resistor mod? A step up of power? I wasn't planning on making them black at all, just enough for them to look a little mean.

How about putting up a pic of the back end of your car so people can photochop tinted tailllights onto it?

I'm 100% sure of getting this mod, going out to Menai to get some of the paint today as I've already seen an EB with tinted lights and I really liked it.
I can't really see highlights working for the lights as all the lights are kind of dark as they are, no white bits for reversing. They are in the centre of the rear end. Thanks for the replies.
