I'll be keeping my badges.

The badges on B series don't have locating pins. So it does make the job easy if you wanted to remove badges.

only a Futura? theres nothing wrong with a futura, its still a f**k ton better than an EF/EL fairmont ghia or XR series.

i think BAs look mint without badges, if only there wasnt that dent to fill behind the ford badge you could make it sooo slick.

f**k speak for yourself.. whats wrong with a ef ghia...

ba's and bf's... there everywhere.. xr6's common as dog s**t... stick with mine anyday thanx

I think some one wants a ba, you wouldnt be saying that if you owned one. I hate driving the EF now, it's nothing compared to the BA.
Have you ever driven one???

each to their own.

i have a ba fairmont ghia with some intake mods and chrome 20's (sorry bowsaw). gets looks everywhere cause it looks so pimpin, but would rather get in my ef any day. it's not a bad car of course, in fact quite the opposite. comfy, powerful, pretty. just like a camry. too predictable and, well.... a bit boring. a nicely modded ef/el is much more fun to drive. mine is grumpy, jittery, loud (even louder if i turn up the stereo) but at least i feel alive when im givin it a bootful. thats what its all about, unless youve retired of course....

Done.. i did it the first night i bought the car home... and removed the s**t mudflaps, headlight and bonnet protectors.

Low ghia.. wtf.. they're current model, of course they're common. They drive s**t better than any E series imo. E series feel like barges compared to AU's, let alone B series. I'm not having a dig but fact is fact.

i much prefer my futura over the el xr6's i was looking at getting.

and considering its only a few grand more for a b series over a el xr6 its exceptional value for money (as long as you dont sell it in a few years hehe)

when i look at my eb, the only thing it has that my ba doesnt have is character, because:

1) it was my first car
2) i modified it quite a bit
3) it is bumpy jittery loud low manual and fun

but it sucks for long drives as you fast get sick of all things mentioned in point 3.

i drove from bayswater to bendigo then back to bayswater yesterday and i felt fine, no back ache, sore a**, legs were comfy as i was on cruise the whole time averaging 7.4l/100km at 110kmh
and about 12.5l/100km at 60-80kph cruising around town and stuff.

other than lacking character and having a bit much body roll, it s**t all over my eb which i still have and drive sometimes.

oh and quite the opposite, if i remove the futura MKII badges from the back of it everyone will think its a ba xt.

at first i actually wasnt going to remove the badges because of that but thought, who cares what anyone else thinks its what i think about it and i like it without the badges it looks sleek.

Damn Straight akademiks!!

Blow what everyone thinks!!! My girl started life as a futura and now, besides the seats inside, is 100% XR - without badges of course. I upgraded rather than buy b/c I saved $5k doing so, and I got electrics all round! I like it... might drink a lil more than my old manual ed xr6, but hey.... I'm Happy.

If ppl like X series, E series, A series or B series... i Don't care, as long as you mo'fo's don't get cheap on me & Buy some H or V series s**t from the other side!

Munch out!

fishing line also works well. you can safely 'cut' through the double sided tape then polish the remainder off
