I'm just curious as to how well a car will clean up if you do remove these items. Whether or not it would be costly to fill/repair/paint over the holes and marks or what to expect basically. I really dislike the black side stripes and the cars look much cleaner without badges but don't know anyone in my town who has done it.

It's a silver 03 BA XT.

Thanks,

xoxo

I just slowy and carefully used a screw driver to lever a corner off and then peeled it off (the badges) and used a bit of eucalyptus oil to clean up the sticky stuff. Just left the ford badge at the back :) Might also be worth while giving it a quick polish after

As above for the badges... as for the side mouldings, it may be worth your while taking it to a paint shop and getting them sprayed. The BA looks like crap without them.

Nope, just a friendly guy.

I've seen BA's with just clean sides/fronts etc. I honestly prefer less clutter than all the badges and stripes and whatever. So is there a gap left if I remove the black side strips or is it just smooth door underneath?

Holes hard to patch up? Lol.

I don't own it yet but I'm 99% getting a silver BA XT.

Plans are sound system first. Some minor body work badges etc. 20's lowered and exhaust. First car I've put some money into so I'm looking forward to it!
