I have heard that the "Falcon" emblem is held in place with 2 bolts in the back. So if you take it off you will have 2 holes leftover, that will need bogging and painting etc.

dont worry about it - the paint underneath will be fine - thats unless your car is really faded. if you REALLY look hard, you can just see the outline after its been removed, but i wouldn't be too worried

Possible. depends on the condition of the rest of your paint. But a good polish oughta fix it. Personally I find that totally de-badging makes a car look like its been in a prang, and home fixed *shrugs* doesn't appeal to me. But hey! If you like the no-badge look, go for it I say! |

they dont have bolts just two pins that poke through to align the badge properly
to remove the glue use bug and tar remover or get some goo remover or something of that nature (provided it doesnt remove some of the paint aswell) |

remove the remaining glue with prepsol, then give the area a good polish.
You may still see a outline, if the rest of the car is faded!

don't think id go as far as using degreaser to remove the sticky stuff unless it was weak stuff.. use wax and grease remover as that is what its made for, or go tree hugging hippy style and use eucalyptis oil, it smells good too

A natural way of removing it is Eucliptus oil. it desulves the glue and leaved the surface like new, smells pretty too

I ended up taking off the "GLi" off with a Stanley knife and precision cutting. Then just polished it back and looks cool. I am not that keen on total rebadging just little bits here an their look good. Like sanding back or painting over the gay and out dated looking, "4.0L ComputerTorque Control" Lettering on the door guards.

the badges on the EA-ED are all just stuck on with double sided tape, i took off the 4.0iOHC badges scraped the glue off with my fingernails and polished the mark out (the turtlewax coloured stuff) the badge on the boot garnish (falcon Gli) i sanded lightly with fine sandpaper and painted it my body colour (cardinal red - same as the badge background) it looks like it was meant to be that way, only the blue ovals are left and im gonna get a pair of the front gaurd tickford badges.
