hey guys hopin someone could help me out... washed my car today and on my front rims there seems to be brown spots in some of the grooves. i was thinking it was surface rust or somethin but if u rub it with a cloth for a while it starts to come off. anyone know what it is and how to get it off?

cheers

how old are the rims? most brand new rims come with this sorta of vasaleany stuff on them and after a weeks drive the break dust tends to stick to it nicely. cheers

well i just got my new rims yesterday and they guy told me not to use wheels cleaners for sum wierd reason. said the best thing for them is a spounge, warm soapy water and a bit of TLC. but yes supercheap, repco. autobarn would all have something they would most likely do the job. sorry i am not able to give any specific brands, cheers

Meguires 'Hot Wheels' does the job, spary on, leave for 30 seconds, then high pressure hose off. If needed finish it up with a cloth and elbow grease.
