I didn't get that far because when it was thinner, it was too flimsy to pull carpet tightly over the top. I tried pulling the carpet over and it distorted which would wreck the shape of the mould - so I took the carpet off and thickened it up a bit more

i understand now, i must say i have never made sub boxes so i know nothing about them.that much glass they would be quite heavy tho??

any one try using alumininm fly screen mesh as a stiffener,between 3-4 layers,strong and light.

yeah we have used stuff like that and also shade cloth beleive it or not.
