So problem began two weeks ago, the door indicator on the dash says the door is open when it is closed which subsequently doesnt allow me to lock the doors. i took it to ford, they said it was moisture so they dried it out put electrical grease in and bam it was fixed.....2 hours later door has same problem, take it back the next day they take door of replace the actuator again fixed it for two hours then again didnt work...took it back this time they took the ICC out checked all the plugs and it was all fine but problem still there
today they took the door off checked all the plugs in the door, the bloke said that one of the plugs was not connected properly and was loose so they fixed that up, now here is the problem two hours later and yet again the same problem Guys at ford are clueless to what is wrong but they have been as helpful as possible, just wondering if anyone here knows the problem and how to fix it |

i reckon, its just starting to piss me off, cant leave the car anywhere because the doors wont lock.
could it be the body control module/Body electronics module? or would there be more things wrong than just the door saying its open if it was? |

I think you will find it is the BEM, sounds like there could be a bad solder point inside.
The only way you can be ABSOLUTELY sure is to get it to an Auto Electrician. You WILL need to either take it to an Auto Electrician or Ford because when you change the BCM you WILL need to have it trained to your car. A high series BEM (Body Electronic Control Module) BA 14K144 BB will cost you $301.00 brand new. |

You would be advised to get a late model one, something like 2006/7 model to eliminate as many bugs as possible. I would say you could be looking at $90.00-$120.00 used. Try FTG auto Salvage and see how you fare. I have seen them on Ebay so, let you mouse do it's job |
