Appreciate some advice please. Drivers door on my EL has dropped letting in water. Can the door be adjusted ? If the hinge needs replacing could you give me some tips please. When the door is closed there is a gap between the rubber and door. After opening the door it drops about 25mm. The locking bar on the center pillar is starting to chewed by the door lock.

Have a look at the hinge mate....
If you can see what needs to come out ie 2 bolts and a pin etc if you can do that then do it if you cant then get a mate or something a beater will charge $100 or more for a 10 min job.

Il take a look at mine later on and see if i can give better advice.

Thanks sideways. I'm stuck in a wheelchair and my wife will be doing the repairs. That is the reason I appreciate any advice.

sometimes its not the hinge, it can be the panel around it. Just had the XH done and the hinge was fine but all the panel around the door and cab itself had broken away. because of the central locking problems it was easier to get the panel beater to do it. charged 150 bux and he basically cut the panel off, welded in new sheet and put the hinge and brackets back on.

i agree its better to get a panel beater to do it i used to be one and we dealt with this s**t every day. if youre in a wheel chair and the wife is doing the repairs i really would take it to a panel shop, not saying girls are useless but its also a lot less demanding by taking it to a shop. hope it helps.
