I was wondering what people use to dry their cars with apart from chamois (sp?).
I have had several and all have lint crap coming off them including my last one which was mcguiars. Whats a good lint free alternative that you can buy from a local store e.g. autobarn, supercheap etc

Its not drying thats the problem its the lint that stupid chamois leave. I hate washing the car only to dry it and end up with little bits of lint on the paintwork.
Any good lint-free products people could reccomend?

i bought a chamois from supercheap, i think, not sure of the brand, was like 30 bucks roughly, and was lint free... but had heaps of oil in it, so much that it would leave a horrible mark on ur car... washed it a few times, hand washed, and bobs ur uncle.... or aunty, if things are sick and twisted in thier head...

I use a chamios no worries aswell. Think mine also Meguires!
As for taking it round the block, stuff that, the dirt and that sticks to the water and that. Wait till she's fully dry before driving. |

Best thing for drying a car after chamoising is an old well washed nappy as thet dont leave streaks or lint

Get a Synthetic one, they should feel a bit rubbery, dont bother with the leather ones can damage yor paint if not used correctly.

Try a microfibre cloth or even brush over the car with one afterwards..
I do this with microfibre cloths n get perfect finish, no artifacts left on the paint.

They can be found in most cleaning sections of stores, not just auto stores.
Also the internet has many for sale; they are everywhere really; just keep ur eyes open for em.

The days of the chamois are gone. They still are worth having around to wipe down the dash or remove stains from seats though
The best thing available today is an ultra microfibre waffle weave drying towel They are 60 x 90 cm and one can dry the entire car (use a second one or chamois for door and boot jams) No wringing, simply hang up to dry and wash after each use for best results No lines, streaks or stripping of waxes or sealants Far less surface friction than a chamois and will outlast a chamois by a country mile
